Storybook Download

The Tome of Stars EPUB storybook is nearly 1 GB. Matching the illustrated print book, every sonnet is embedded in an illustration, and each has the corresponding audiobook narration embedded in the page as well. This creates a large file that is problematic for downloads without crashing my bandwidth.

To reduce excessive downloads from malicious players or bots, I have this two-step process involving this page and then a text form (below) that are (hopefully) obstacles to bots. With this I try to limit downloads of this large file only to those who want the book in good faith.

PS Finally, please note that many E-readers can’t handle this multimedia EPUB (e.g., Kindles can’t). Apple Books does, as do some others. You need an E-reader that handles fixed-layout EPUBs and embedded audio.
